light.
The proprietary lighting methodology in the Hybrid Indoor Cultivation Facility™ triggers specific biosignal pathways in higher plants that produce up to 38% more terpenoids than traditional indoor cultivation facilities.
Full Spectrum Sunlight – Highest Quality
The vegetative and flowering areas of our Hybrid Indoor Cultivation Facility™ sit under a translucent, polycarbonate roof, providing full-spectrum light from the sun. The benefits of using the sun to grow scale beyond obvious decreased power use and overall sustainability initiatives. Sun-grown higher plants have more complex terpenoid development and promote more desirable structural integrity.
Terpenoid Production
Higher plants possess some very critical pigments and photoreceptors that do not absorb the light spectrum used in traditional indoor cultivation facilities. We harness the full-spectrum light of the sun to fuel these pigments and photoreceptors resulting in a large pool of terpenoids to be produced in our plants giving our flower a more complex taste, nose and desired effect.
Structural Integrity
Sun-grown higher plants have stronger structural integrity by triggering specific photoreceptors that promote the production of naturally-occurring, anti-fungal compounds to protect the plant and its flowers. Sunlight also inhibits stem elongation, which, in turn, can produce denser flowers - a desired result without the use of harmful plant growth regulators.
Light Manipulation – Quantitative Light Supply
When analyzing light as a limiting factor, the amount of light that is supplied will directly correlate to the plant’s yield. Therefore, increase the plant’s daily light integral by 1% and the plant will increase its yield by 1%. We outfit the Hybrid Indoor Cultivation Facility™ with over 400 supplemental lights and automated light deprivation systems. This technology allows Dr. Flannery to precisely dictate the daily integral that each plant receives 365 days per year.
